In memory of Jenny Balsam Christensen…

“How lucky we were to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” Winnie the Pooh

The ranch lost an amazing, bright light….Jenny Balsam Christensen. She was one of the creators of love and acceptance at Reigning Grace Ranch. In fact this very website was her creation.  She was responsible for more then words can write for the success of where the ranch is today. She was the creative artist, the witty writer, the horse lover, child mentor and teacher, model of strength and perseverance and a calm in the storm that others would fall to as refuge.

She leaves behind a tremendous legacy and a beautiful family that will be better because she lived. We love you Jennay. We will feel your presence at the ranch always. Go and see Sugar and Sebastian. They are waiting for you in that green pasture. Enjoy the beautiful ride cowgirl.

Reigning Grace Ranch was a passion for Jenny and she spent endless hours volunteering time to aide at-risk youth and neglected horses and give both hope to a brighter future.

Would you please help us build JENNY’S HOUSE?

JENNY’S HOUSE will preserve her memory and continue her message of hope as a community center at the ranch.  It will also serve as a home at the ranch for teens aging out of foster care as transitional living.  Here they will learn life skills to be successful contributing members of society and have a place they will call home for the rest of their lives.  Many new memories will formed as we tell stories to the people who are blessed with a place we are honored to call Jenny’s House.

Thank you for your donation in memory of Jenny Balsam Christensen.  We will have a memory plaque with your name hung in “Jenny’s House,” at dedication for your contribution.
